Review by MJ Smith

Picture This by Cate Masters brings a her own touch of romance in her novella.  Star reporter Sydney Welles is reunited with Ben Taylor, the only man she could never forget.

Sydney Welles is an award-winning news reporter for the Harrisburg News.  She has a great career, caring friends.  But she longs for love in her life.  A year ago, she shared a passionate kiss with Philadelphia Daily News photographer Ben Taylor.  Since then, no other man can replace the memory of Ben’s lips. Ben is hired by her newspaper but acts as if he doesn’t remember her or their kiss.  When both are asked to work together on the same assignment to expose the mayor’s shady affairs, Ben kisses Sydney again. While Sydney wonders about Ben’s kiss, two other fellow journalists show interest in her.  But she can’t get Ben out of her head.

The story flows after the first few pages.  And once I got used to the author’s writing style and pace, the story got my attention.

The heroine is intelligent and resilient.  The hero is sexy and charming.  And the political background made for an exciting source of external conflict.
